It was Thomas Edison who said that “genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”. Academic success is not realised overnight; it generally requires hours of concentrated effort, and sustained focus. For this reason, we offer support lessons for all subjects in the mornings and afternoon, dependent on the availability of our staff. These lessons serve two purposes:
(i) to assist pupils who struggle to grasp a particular section of work,
The intention to address problems timeously, before they cause further distress, is sensible. We urge you to take advantage of these value-added lessons for which there is no extra charge. Pupils who attend ASP, work in a directed fashion, and improve on their results.
"Hard work throws the spotlight on the character of people - some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses and some don't turn up at all" - Sam Ewing
Enquire about our ASP and you can take advantage of this service offered by our experienced teachers.
In addition to our ASP, the college uses ADAM (Academic Data Administration Management), to record and track pupil performance. The system enables pupils to login to view their assessment results. Parents are also given access to the system from any location. This promotes transparency and allows parents and pupils to track their academic progress with the intention of uncovering problem areas earlier.
Staff are also continually trained on effective use of our systems and it has become an integral part of our teaching and administration (see Information Technology tab).
