Sue Goodman: The Pony Club was the most influential part of childhood riding. Four months at Talland School of Equitation in Cirencester culminated in a BHS Assistant Instructor's qualification. Travels found me in South Africa in 1972. In 1974 I spent five years working at the Forsight Welsh Pony Stud in White River where, as well as stud work, I show jumped and evented. A move to Johannesburg in 1979 brought me closer to the eventing hub and I competed to SA Champs level in eventing as well as show jumping with Nigel Pott's Chester. I am also an accredited Assessor.
