Overview - BeNS Nursery School

Small classes. Happy children. Nurturing and creative staff.

Beaulieu Nursery School (fondly called BeNS) opened its doors for the first time in January 2013 when the school took thirty six children into both Grade Triple Nought and Grade Double Nought. There are two classes for each grade with 18 children in each.

Grade Nought classes have been offered since Beaulieu Preparatory opened its doors 21 years ago. In 2017 we are proud to be opening a third class for both Grade Triple Nought and Grade Double Nought children. Our BeNS family of students, parents, staff and community strive to develop and inspire the children to be the best that they can be, while promoting diversity and a respect for those around them.

BeNS has become a place where children feel safe and secure in the knowledge that they are loved and nurtured. Our children are immersed in a world of creativity, music and self-expression while being cared for in a friendly, supportive environment. Play is the vehicle for learning.

Whether role playing or enjoying story time, being creative with paint and sand or clambering up apparatus in the playgrounds – each day is action packed. Small groups led by qualified teachers make learning enjoyable and there’s always time for moments of calm with a rest after lunch.

BeNS provides the stimulus and the children provide the imagination. Children are not afraid to get messy when exploring the goop, sawdust, bird seeds and other interesting tactile materials in our sensopathic trays. Music and physical education introduce movement and song. The children’s physical development is of great importance at this early age, hence it is carefully and progressively developed at BeNS. Our children are encouraged to be actively involved in their own education and this encourages higher order thinking and life-long learning.
