The Kyalami Schools Group consists of three high-performing independent schools, namely, Beaulieu Preparatory, Kyalami Preparatory and Beaulieu College – all located in the north of Johannesburg.


Dear Members of the Kyalami Schools Community 

We commenced a Board governance renewal process last year and that process saw the addition of a new Director to the Board in August 2021. Dr Lesego Khantsi has made an excellent contribution to the Board’s deliberations and work since her appointment and we now wish to further augment the Board’s capabilities by the addition of another Director. 

The Kyalami Schools NPC Board is inviting members of our community to submit their personal expression of interest to serve on the Board, or to propose the names of other individuals who they believe would be suitable candidates. 

Directors of the Kyalami Schools NPC Board serve voluntarily and give freely of their time and expertise. All Directors serve in their personal capacity and while there are no fixed terms of service, we would be seeking an initial commitment for four years. 

The Board is specifically looking for an individual with expertise in law and risk management. This individual will ensure that the Board is updated on all elements of non-financial risk management best practice and all regulatory requirements. The individual will work closely with the CEO to identify, assess and mitigate all non- financial risks and threats, and to design and implement a comprehensive risk management framework. 

 The Expression of Interest process 

Interested individuals are asked to download and complete the Expression of Interest form below. 

All submissions will be treated in the strictest confidence and should be emailed to by Friday 15 July 2022. The submissions will be reviewed by the Chair and CEO, after which individuals may be invited for an interview before being considered by the Board, which will make the final selection. 

In addition to this Expression of Interest process, the Board will also search for potential new Board members through direct approaches. If there are individuals who you believe have the requisite skills and experience to serve on the Board, please provide their names to the CEO by emailing to the same address above.

Role Requirements:

The CEO is responsible for developing and executing the vision, as mandated by the Board of Directors, whilst adhering to  policies, achieving goals, and assisting the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities. In addition, the CEO leads, guides and supports the daily operational management of the Group. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Spearhead the Group’s strategic thrust;
  • Oversee all operations of the Group and report to the Board of Directors; 
  • Oversee all functions of the Group including business development, finance and operations; and
  • Lead, Support, and Advise the Heads of Campus

Skills Required:

  • Appropriate university degree and professional qualification;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a management position in education;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Excellent planning, organisational and reporting skills.
