Fay Mukaddam is an advocate of the High Court of South Africa. She is a commercial lawyer having focused on mergers and acquisitions and is currently specialising in risk, governance and strategy, post her transaction advisory work.
Previously, Fay acted as Group CEO of ABAFAZI Group for about 6 years. ABAFAZI Group is a private professional services and investment holding company, operating across sector and industry. Fay has been at the forefront of advice to numerous local and international entities on several transactions including some of the most prestigious published and covered empowerment transactions in South Africa.
Fay currently serves as Managing Director of TERMA Commercial Advisory Services, a commercial, tax and transaction advisory practice. Fay’s appointment as the President of the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has recently been renewed and she is undertaking several exciting new challenges in 2015!
Fay is a guest lecturer at major universities and business schools in South Africa and she has delivered papers at national and international conferences on governance, leadership in Africa and development economics. Some of Fay’s current work includes specialised governance, risk and empowerment advisory to offshore companies, technical facilitator and subject-matter expert for the Institute of Directors and acting as independent board member, audit and risk committee member and independent trustee, of entities in both the public and private sectors.
