Co-Curricular Activities
At Beaulieu College we believe service, sport and cultural activities are integral to the holistic development of each individual. The main goal of the co-curricular programme is to give pupils an opportunity to express themselves and develop skills outside the classroom, enhancing social skills and physical and mental health. In all co-curricular codes emphasis is placed on the life skills learned in the activity – teamwork, spirit, cooperation, effective communication, grit and resilience – skills that transfer to other areas of life.
We believe every pupil has the ability to achieve something significant in service, sport and culture, whether it is achieving a personal goal, participating in a musical ensemble or dramatic performance, playing for a school team, or achieving district, provincial or national selection. For the more competitive individual, we also encourage high levels of competition in specific activities. We perform at the highest levels in sports such as Equestrian, Hockey and Netball and in cultural activities such as Drama, Dancing and Choir.

Service and Leadership
Beaulieu College believes strongly in encouraging a commitment to service. We require our pupils to complete a number of community service hours at outside organisations annually.
Our popular and active Interact Club is involved in several outreach projects each year. There are also opportunities to serve within the school environment in activities such as Public Relations, First Aid, Cricket Scoring, Waterpolo Tables, Media Centre and Sound and Lighting.
To serve effectively it is also important to learn how to lead. We have an extensive leadership programme, ranging from annual grade camps in Grade 8 – 11 to our weekly leadership lessons in Grade 10 and 11. We also offer mentorship opportunities for Grade 11 and 12 pupils and councillorship in Grade 11/12.
Our pupils also participate in a well organised and active Student Representative Council where they can stand for election to serve in a portfolio which they feel passionate about.

Parents can email Michelle Barnes at michelle@bsquared.co.za, who will be able to give you details of when our next meeting is, she would also be happy to chat to you if you have any questions.
Our main source of income each year is the MyDifference program. Membership to MyDifference is free, all you need to do is link Beaulieu College as your beneficiary. The store then donates a portion of your spend to MyDifference and that then gets paid into our bank account every month.
